IFFD organizes or participates in very different advocacy events on the occasion of the observance of the International Day of Families and the World Cities Day, or functional commissions of the United Nations Economic and Social Council, as well as focus groups, expert group meetings, conferences and other raise-awareness meetings in different venues around the world, including the IFFD world congresses.

These events are organized or sponsored by national, regional and local governments, permanent missions of member states, or other civil society organizations. They provide opportunities for academics to be heard by lawmakers and civil society representatives to share their good practices.

Interns and other entry-level professionals from more than 40 countries are trained in our advocacy workshops and other meetings.
