The Draft Political Declaration of the Second World Summit for Social Development (WSS- D2), to be adopted in Doha in November 2025, comes thirty years after the Copenhagen Summit and on the 80th anniversary of the United Nations. It sets out a renewed global commitment to eradicate poverty, achieve full and productive employment and decent work, and foster social integration, reaffirming these as the three mutually reinforcing pillars of social development.
