The President of the CONSIGLIO REGIONALE DEL VENETO, H.E. Roberto Ciambetti, held a meeting today at the Palazzo Ferro-Fini in Venice with a group of young researchers currently engaged in a project to map the living conditions of elderly people in the Veneto region. The initiative is part of an Erasmus+ internship, made possible through a partnership between IPC-Facultés Libres de Philosophie et de Psychologie, IFFD – International Federation for Family Development, and the official Venetian Istituto per Servizi di Ricovero e Assistenza Agli Anziani.
The research team — Sixtine de Barbarin, Jean Blyt, Wallerand de Maulmin, and Marie Symington — was accompanied by Jean-Louis Ichard, acting as supervisor, and Ignacio Socías, the project coordinator.
During the meeting, their work was acknowledged as essential for collecting accurate and detailed data on the elderly population in the region. Such information is vital for developing effective and targeted policies to support their well-being, particularly in light of the rapidly aging population and the growing number of elderly individuals living alone.
