The city of Macatuba (population 17,000), located in the central region of the state of São Paulo, is the newest member of the Inclusive Cities for Sustainable Families Project. Mayor Anderson Ferreira (PSD) learned about the project through the local work of Family Talks in 2024.

On May 15, during an event celebrating the International Day of Families, the mayor and other leaders gathered at the City Council to officially formalize Macatuba’s integration into the network by signing the Venice Declaration.

Also in attendance were Deputy Mayor Claudinei Moraes, Councilor Amadeu, and Chief of Staff and President of the Social Fund, Aparecida dos Santos Amorielo.
