In News, Towards 2024

On Monday, June 5, 2023, Familles Durables and IFFD – International Federation for Family Development organized an interactive meeting discussion at La Maison du Bien Commun (Paris) on French family policies and the next 30th anniversary of the International Year of the Family in 2024, with the participation of Renata Kaczmarska, Focal Point of the Family at the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs.

The event provided an opportunity to discuss the megatrends proposed by the United Nations for this anniversary and the impact they have in France, after the initial speech of Ms. Kaczmarska and under the coordination of Rémy Verlyck, director general of Families Durables.

It was also an opportunity to delve into the detailed results of the 2nd Barometer ‘Les Français et la Famille,’ recently published by Familles Durables and made by OpinionWay, introduced by its Deputy General Director, Fréderic Micheau.

On behalf of IFFD, the director of International Relations Ignacio Socias made a speech on the conclusions of the SDGS & Families project, and the main lines they suggest for the future of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.

The quality of the discussions was ensured by the others institutions represented – Caisse nationale des allocations familiales (CNAF), Union Nationale des Associations Familiales (UNAF), United Nations Social Development Network (UNSDN), VersLeHaut and Familya, as well as the magistrate Delphine Blot and the sociologist Raymond Debord, author of the recent book ‘Faut-il en finir avec la famille?
