Family-responsive Cities
February 2022
A meeting of the Board of Delegates of Family-Responsive cities was celebrated in the Senate of the Mexican Republic on 15th, 16th and 17th February, with representatives from Brazil, France, Italy, Belgium and other European countries, to coordinate the future actions of the project and the preparations for the 30th Anniversary of the International Year of the Family. It was hosted by the Mexican Instituto de Análisis de Política Familiar
As part of those events, there was a press conference to introduce the Resolution of the Senate to recommend the Venice Declaration to municipalities, organized by the Senator de la Sierra Aramburo and others who supported the initiative and presented it to the plenary with many accessions from other members of the Senate.
After the meetings in Mexico City, part of the attendants took part in the first Capacity-Building Workshop for the municipality staff of Chihuahua. It has been the first city to organize such an event for all areas of their staff, as an effective tool to mainstream and implement the contents of the project at all municipal levels.
