Parenting: positive reinforcement is not bribery

Positive reinforcement can be an effective tool in a parent’s child-training toolbox but it is not to be confused with bribery. Bribery says, “If you do what I want, I will give you something in return.” It is manipulation. Positive reinforcement teaches, “Good choices equal good results.”
