“Too many want perfect children”

Children are under increasing pressure to be perfect, according to the head of one of Perth’s prestigious girls’ schools. “I think there is greater expectation on young people today to be perfect, to be good at everything,” she said. “There’s less freedom, there’s more structured play, structured music lessons, structured sport and structured homework.”
