If marriage, if stable families convey advantages – and if “privilege” is always and everywhere a problem to be “solved” – how are we not headed in this direction? No child mired in poverty deserves his or her plight. But if stable marriages, stable family convey advantages, maybe we shouldn’t tear that down – but rather, suggest that it’s the exact thing we need more of.
