The treatment of children in judicial proceedings around the world, both civil and criminal, is not satisfactory and often “unacceptable,” the UN Special Rapporteur on the independence of judges and lawyers Gabriela Knaul said, while making public her findings during the presentation of her latest report to the UN Human Rights Council.
