Our obsession with what kind of parents we are means that our families’ basic needs are met, and that we have time to fret about our children’s personal development. Fear of making mistakes perhaps leads us to put too much faith in one specific approach to parenting, when in reality there are as many effective ways to parent as there are children to raise.
