The recent rise in the number of adult children still living at home with their parents is a trend not confined to the former Communist states of Eastern Europe, but they do seem to have perfected it. In Slovakia, 74 percent of adults 18 to 34 years old — regardless of employment or marital status — still live with their parents, European Commission statistics show.
